Capt. (Dr.) Roselle M. Hoffmaster of Cleveland, Ohio was a 2004 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and went on to train in internal medicine at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. She earned a degree in biochemistry at Smith and graduated from the medical school at Case Western Reserve University in 2004. The Cleveland, Ohio native was commissioned in to the Army Medical Corps in 2004 following internal medicine residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas receiving her doctorate. She was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division in July 2007 and deployed with her unit to Iraq in September 2007. She is a graduate of the Army Medical Department Officer Basic Course. Her awards and decorations are the Army Superior Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal and the Army Service Ribbon. Roselle died in Kirkuk, Iraq, of injuries sustained from a non-combat related incident at age 32.
