The core unit of work in JobNext is a Job.Â
A Job is work (referred to as a Project or Site) that is executed by a contracting organization i.e. contractor (the user of JobNext) that has been awarded a contract by a customer. The contract captures the work that the customer would require and the terms and conditions associated with it.
To Create a Job follow the process described in this video:
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to create a new job in the JobNext platform, based on the process shown in the video.
Follow these steps to successfully add a new job to the system:
Navigate to the Job Dashboard
From the main Home screen, locate the vertical navigation menu on the left. Click on the "Job" icon (which looks like a briefcase).
Initiate the New Job Form
The screen will load the main Job dashboard, showing all existing jobs. Go to the bottom-left corner and click the blue "Add Job" button.
Complete the "Create Job" Form
A pop-up window titled "Create Job" will appear. Fill in the following details:
Nature of Job: Click the dropdown and select the job's category (e.g., "Railway").
Zone: Click the dropdown and select the relevant zone (e.g., "N - North").
Account Centre: Click the dropdown and select the correct account center (e.g., "Head Office").
Job Type: Click the dropdown and select the type of job.
Job Name: Click the text field and type in a unique name for the job (e.g., "This Executive").
Currency: Click the dropdown and select the currency for the job (e.g., "INR (Indian Rupee)").
Submit the Form
Once all fields are completed, click the blue "Submit" button at the bottom of the pop-up.
Confirm Job Creation
The "Create Job" window will close. The screen will refresh, and you will see your new job listed in the main table, typically with a status of "Execution."
NB: If the Pre-Tender process is used and an Enquiry created then when the Quote is won and the Contract created a Job need not be created again. The Enquiry itself maybe converted to an Execution Job.
