Once the material has been received into Inventory - it maybe consumed. Consumption involves any of the following:

• Material Issue to Project Execution:
  • During execution of the Project material will need to be issued from the store. In that case material is issued against the specific Project Job Scope (Activity) that is being executed.
  • The process for material issue to Project Execution is:

• Material Issue to Machine:
  • Consummables/Spares issued to Machines are tracked using this process.
  • Users must select the machine and material and save the Issue Note.
  • The process to be followed is:

• Material Issue to Subcontractor:
  • Material maybe issued to Subcontractors as part of the Work Order issued to the Subcontractor.
  • Material Issue is a two-step process
    • Provision the Material as part of the Work Order - this is analogous to a budget being created for the material. This is typically done at the time of issuing the Work Order.
      • The Steps to Provision Material are:
        • Create a Budget Estimate for the Scope that contains the Work Items for which the Work Order has been issued.
        • From the Budgeted Material select the Material that need to be provisioned.
    • Issue the Material against the Work Order, only that material that has previously been Provisioned will be available for Issue.
  • The process to follow is:

• Return to Vendor:
  • In order to return material back to the vendor (in case of defective or unused material) - follow these steps:

• Disposal to Waste:
  • When materiel needs to be disposed from Stock, the Disposal to Waste process needs to be followed.
