Classwork/Homework - Wednesday, May 6

I will be sending out an email later today with some important information.  Please be on the look out for it.  Here is today's work:

1.  SeeSaw - Please do the Religion assignment and post it to SeeSaw.  

2.  ELA - Look at the next two words on your vocabulary sheet (mention, concerned) and use them each in a sentence.  Then reread pages 80 to 87 of "I Wanna Iguana" from the Text Selection book (the book that you read "A Chair for My Mother" from).  Then write the answer to this question:  Do you like that the story is told through letters between Alex and Mom or would you rather have the story written in story form with dialogue?  Explain why you chose your answer.

3.  Phonics - Do page 206 to practice working with our high frequency words of the week.

4.  Spelling - Write each of these words three times and use each in a sentence .

            hurt            buy            four            hold            again

5.  Religion - Read pages 226 and 227.  Then complete the sheet below.  Write ways in which you can share God's love with others.  After you complete the sheet, think of ways that you can actually make some of these things happen and do them!

6.  Math - Today we will be working with amounts greater than one dollar.  Do pages 357 to 360.  If you would like some help with these pages you can watch the following video where you can have a teacher do pages 357 and 358 with you.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1JPe2nJd-Y&t=178s

7.  Science - In our new science unit we will be learning about animals.  Let's  watch a story today called The Caterpillar and the Polliwog by Jack Kent.  Just follow this link.

Be sure to notice the changes that both animals make during the story.
