Post date: May 11, 2020 4:18:30 AM
This week will be filled with many new things. First, check out the video I posted of our class on SeeSaw. I think you'll like it! This week I am going to try to collect the children's work. Details on when and how will be sent to you in an email later today. I am also going to be inviting the children to a Zoom class on Thursday of this week. Details about that will also be in the letter. Here is the work for today:
1. SeeSaw - Check out the video I posted to SeeSaw starring Class 2-1. Please share with me on SeeSaw your ELA sheet, Religion pages, and math sheet.
2. ELA - Review the vocabulary words from "I Wanna Iguana" then reread the story. Complete the the ELA sheet below.
3. Grammar - Homophones are word pairs that sound the same but are spelled differently. Some homophones are here/hear, right/write and see/sea. Two of your spelling words this week are homophones too. See if you can find them when you do spelling. Do the cut and paste sheet below to work with a few more homophones.
4. Phonics - This week we will be reviewing the /air/ sound. This sound can be made with three different letter teams - are, air, and ear. Read the words and sentences on page 215 of your phonics book to a partner. Sound out any words you do not know.
4. Spelling - Write each of these words three times and use each in a sentence.
bear dare hair pair pear
5. Religion - Today you will be doing a Unit 3 review. Please complete pages 243 and 244 of your book.
6. Math - Do the math sheet below to practice counting money. Then complete pages 169 and 170 in your skinny math book.
7. Science - Go to BrainPopJr complete the assignment. You will be watching a video on Frogs and then taking a short quiz.
Monday is gym day. Don't forget about getting some exercise today!
