Classwork/Homework - Tuesday, June 16

Post date: Jun 16, 2020 3:37:54 AM

It was so nice to see all of you yesterday.  I'm looking forward to seeing you all on Zoom today at 11:30. Please bring the Scholastic News Edition called "Bounce" and the Social Studies sheet below to the Zoom class.  Here is today's work:

1.  SeeSaw - Please post your ELA work and your Social Studies sheet to SeeSaw today.

2.  ELA - Today on Zoom we will be finishing "Marching with Aunt Susan".  Then think about some of the differences in the way boys and girls are thought of in this story.  Are boys and girls still thought of in the same way today?  On looseleaf or in a notebook write a paragraph about the roles of boys and girls in the time of Bessie.  Then write about how boys and girls are thought of today.  Include in your paragraph ways in which these roles are still the same and ways in which they have changed.  Then visit Seesaw to read me your paragraph.

3.  Phonics - Sort this week's spelling words on page 271 of your phonics book.

4.  Spelling - Write each word three times and use each word in a sentence.

                        joy            noise            point            soil            toy

5.  Religion - Do the Project Disciple pages 268 and 269 in your religion book to review chapter 23.

6.  Math - Do pages 545 to 548 in your math book to show different ways to divide shapes into equal parts.

8.  Social Studies - Look through your Scholastic News Magazines and find the May/June issue called Bounce.  Print out the sheet below and bring both to Zoom class today.

Just for Fun:  There are only 27 days left in our subscription to Raz-Kids!  Go on to the website and read a story or two for fun today.
