Classwork/Homework - Thursday, April 23

Post date: Apr 23, 2020 1:31:47 AM

Hello Class 2-1!  Here's the classwork/homework for today...

1.  SeeSaw - Please log in to SeeSaw.  Tell me about a book you are reading or have read recently.

2.  ELA - Today I want you to think about features we see when we read books.  Money Matters is a non-fiction text.  Non-fiction books have text features (headings, photographs, captions, and information boxes) that help us to find key facts about what we are reading.  Look at the attached sheet to learn more about Non-Fiction Text Features.  Then look for these text features as you read pages 10 to 15 of Money Matters.  Last, using evidence from the text answer the questions on sheet below.

3.  Phonics - Read the poem, Star Party, on page 188 and complete the bottom of the page.

4.  Spelling - Do the /ar/ missing letter sheet below.

5.  Religion - Read pages 210 and 211.  On looseleaf or in a notebook answer the following question:  At Mass, what happens during the consecration?

6.  Math - Go to BrainpopJr and do the assignment posted for you.  You will be watching the movie "Counting Coins", and taking the easy quiz.  (Brainpopjr was having some issues as I posted this.  If the issues persist and you cannot do the assignment, please let me know.)  Then do pages 342 to 344 in your big math book.

7.  Social Studies - Learn more about goods and services.  Do the sheet below.

Just For Fun:  Try some counting money games on line.  Here's a link to a money game on the website ABCYA.  https://www.abcya.com/games/counting_money
