Classwork/Homework - Monday, May 18

Post date: May 18, 2020 3:49:9 AM

I hope you enjoyed the Zoom class last week as much as I did!  I'll be seeing you on Zoom again this week. Our next meeting will be on Tuesday at 11:30. I will send the link to the meeting to you by email later today.  Here is today's work:

1.  SeeSaw - Please post your ELA sheet and page 375 in your Math book to SeeSaw today.

2.  ELA - Today we will wrap up our work in Unit 2 by comparing our last two stories, "Money Matters" and "I Wanna Iguana".  Think about what each story is about.  Then write several sentences on the sheet below to compare and contrast the main topics of each story.  Then post your work to SeeSaw.

3.  Phonics - This week we will be reviewing r-controlled vowels in two syllable words.  Read the words and sentences on page 225 of your phonics book to a partner.  Sound out any words you do not know.

3.  Spelling - Write each of these words three times and use each in a sentence.

                artist            disturb             forty            glory            hornet

4.  Religion - Do the Project Disciple activities on pages 292 and 293 of your religion book.

5.  Math - This week we will practice telling time.  Do pages 373 to 376 in your big math book.  Take a photo of page 375 and post it to SeeSaw.  Please try to do this page by yourself so that I can see who needs further instruction in telling time.

6.  Social Studies - Next Monday, May 25 is Memorial Day.  This week we will be learning about this important holiday.  Watch this video to find out what Memorial Day is all about.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCJApBnLcAo

*  Don't forget that Monday is gym day.

Just for Fun:  Our next upper case letter to learn in cursive writing is the letter L.  Here's a sheet to practice that letter.
