the cold days of my Ice year.

As I write my final blog post I reflect on my first year of highschool. Throughout my grade 9 I learned and experienced a lot of new things. Not only have I learned so much from ice class, science, and the rest of the classes. But I have also learned a lot about myself. Throughout this blog I will be talking about my three favourite moments and what I have learned from these moments during my grade nine year at york. All though I had lots of great moments during my grade nine year, these are my top three.

Coming in third, my third favourite moment was our trip to Ottawa. I found Ottawa fun for a few different reasons, the biggest reason was because it was a great way to bond with both my friends and people I might not hangout with as much. Although we had many fun times, my favourite was definitely being on the bus listening to old music, laughing, and being yelled at to sit down. This was a great time to bond and get to know each other. This trip was also very important to me because of all the things I learned about Canadian history. This time Taught me how to bond and interact with new people. My second favourite moment of my 2020 grade nine year would be the ice trips. Throughout the year the ice classes explored different parts of Toronto, such as kensington market, and downtown Toronto. These trips gave us opportunity to learn in a more visual way, and to experience different parts of Toronto. Personally my favourite was Kensington market, a quirky area in Toronto rich with diverse cultures, cool art, and tasty food. Throughout this trip we got to go into cool stores and eat great food with our advisor class. I found this was a great way to get closer with my advisor class, learn about different parts of Toronto, and try new things.

My favourite part of grade nine was not really just one moment. But my favourite moments was sitting in homeroom class with everybody, joking around having fun and sometimes learning. One time after the class had finished a big assignment we even decided to have a hide and seek game throughout the whole school. Its safe to say that my homeroom class and ice class knows how to have fun. The most important moment for me was definitely winter camping. Personally I did not want to go camping in negative 15 weather, and I was not looking forward to the experience. But I am glad that I went because it was a good experience and I learned how to persevere through difficult times. And I also learned how to appreciate experiences. Throughout my Ice year I learned how to persavere, work hard, and more. In conclusion my grade nine year consisted of laughing, learning, and trying new things.
