BLUE ALERT – EBA UCJIS TRANSACTION 

Similar to an Amber Alert in that it will be broadcast on news and UHP electronic signs – a text message alert system used in situations where law enforcement officer has been killed or injured and suspects are still at large: 

CONTACT BCI 801-965-4446 who will assist you with this activation  

CRITERIA:   Has a law enforcement officer been killed or seriously injured/assaulted with a deadly weapon by suspect 

Is the suspect an imminent threat to the public and other law enforcement personnel?  

Is there information available for the public about the suspect/suspect vehicle?  

Will public dissemination of information help avert further harm or accelerate apprehension of the suspect?
