10-33 – OFFICER DOWN – OFFICER NEEDS HELP QUICK
Upon notification that there is a 10-33 or 9-1 situation the dispatcher will announce:
ALERT TONE 2 – Unit (Number) 10-33 at (LOCATION) and provide a brief description of the problem
CODE RED - The Radio Air will remain clear except for emergency traffic pertaining to the 10-33/9-1 – If you need a second channel use UVUC2C (car to car channel) second channels can be used for containment – units trying to relay instructions to Dispatch or other units without covering priority radio traffic or a second high priority incident (which may or may not be related)
Dispatcher will notify ORPD or UVDD if in Vineyard to respond - The UVU SGT will advise if officers from other agencies other than ORPD or UTCO need to respond
EMERGENCY ACTIVATION BUTTON – when an emergency activation button has been set off the ORPD Dispatcher will verify with Officer if he is CODE 4 if no response or the officer confirms a 10-33 the above procedures will go into effect
IF APPLICABLE USE UVU CAMERAS TO LOCATE AND RECORD INCIDENT
SGT OR OIC MAY REQUEST DISPATCH MAKE MANDATORY NOTIFICATIONS > FOLLOW THE MANDATORY NOTIFICATION CHEATSHEET IN THE YELLOW RESOURCE SECTION OR SEND OUT APPROPRIATE SMS/TEXT NOTIFICATIONS
