Spillman Tips & Tricks

ALT + L = Goes to incident address location

ALT + I = Goes to city

ALT + P = Goes to phone number

ALT + M = Goes to name

ALT + N = Goes to nature

ALT + T = Goes to type

ALT + Z = Goes to zone

ALT + C = Goes to comments

CTRL + C = Cancels an action

CTRL + P = Opens the add comp screen

CTRL + T = Enters current time and date

CTRL + U = Makes the comment you are entering Urgent

F2 = Opens the selected record

F3 = Saves or accepts the action

ESC = Closes the Add Comp and Possible Duplicates

• All computers plugged into the ethernet inside the police station do not need any VPN to access Spillman. 

• For now, laptops on wifi, patrol cars, and the substation must be on County VPN to access Spillman. 

• Address: vpn1.utahcounty.gov  

• Username: UVPD  

• Password: gowolves10  

• Jon Barclay currently has a ticket to get the new VPN set up for UVU in preparation for the County VPN going away (as of 3/3/25). 

• Installation  

• Install Adobe Acrobat DC for traffic reports 

• Install Spillman using the installer 

• Login info  

• Username:  uv + first initial + first 5 of last name  

• Edit server  

• Server name: live  

• Server: UCSpillman.utahcounty.gov 

• Port: 4443
