Four young adults end up stranded on St. Randed Island, separated. With no directions to go off of, the selected leader must explore the island in search of the other three, and figure how they ended up in this predicament, why they did, and how to escape back to Leaflane Hamlet, their home. Play as characters like the powerhouse Jeff, the serene and angelic Roxanne, the handsome William or the beauty Eliza and explore an open area with multiple biomes forming into one continent. Meet with the likes of the wise Priest Atlas, the radiant dancer Soleil and even the mysterious Estrella to find the troubles plaguing the island. It is said that after certain woes have been lifted, the evil deity, Eclipse, will reveal himself, ready to face the party in a final battle.
Along the way, hone your skills via tombs and weapons. Upon leveling up certain attributes, special tactics will unlock. And while each character start off with their own strengths and weaknesses, like Jeff having an affinity for swords, Roxanne using primarily bows, William preferring axes and Eliza enjoying striking foes with a spear, anything goes. As actions are used, and upon winning battles, EXP for certain attributes will rack up, and upon leveling those up, Power and Accuracy of those skills will increase, while learning new Techniques and Spells to improve your characters.
Worry not, however, there's still a traditional level up system, which grows your individual stats, too. Upon level up, the most used actions will impact stat growth. By using lots of offensive magic, Intelligence will be promotes more. When using healing, Wisdom will raise, instead. Strength is attached to how often a weapon is used, and Defense for how often you're hit. A hidden counter will go up as battles progress, and after a certain amount of each, the stat gets +1 when a level up is reached, but there will always be a +2 increase by default, to all stats, other than HP which has +8. Feel free to experiment and go a path that suits your fancy.
