Backstory

As the royal family was in its early years, Dearg was the prince. His father and mother have fallen on an unfortunate day, which quickly made him the new King. As he was inexperienced with leading people, he was not the best fit to be king, but still tried. He eventually found a woman to make his wife and had a child named Lilla. In the early years of Lilla's birth, both the royals and their daughter were in quite a happy place, though, at some point throughout this, his mind began to become distorted by desires for power, which led him to changing as a person. His wife eventually questioned him on this fact, to where he promptly went on the offense. He does not remember much of this day, as it is a blur, most likely as a result to hide his inner shame? Regardless, not a word of this was spoken to his daughter, as he pretended nothing had happened, weather from malice or because he genuinely doesn't remember, nobody knows.

After a few years, he started recruiting people into his army. One of the members he recruited, Alani, ended up intriguing him, as she was not only skilled in combat, but even got caught using her signature Soul Keeper ability, capturing enemies to drain their life energy, using it as self-defense. This then made him move Alani to the highest ranked member of the army, commanding her to use this ability to turn the tide of battle and protect his kingdom. This emphasized his passion for power, however, and it seemed from that day on, the man he once was was completely gone. The day Alani's powers were discovered by the king was the day his mind has turned to insanity, losing control of his original view of building an ideal land and instead having a huge lust for power, and now, without his wife in the picture...

Overtime, Alani and his daughter started to get quite close, but one day, Alani ended up using her own soul keeper ability to drain the life of his own enemy soldiers during a war the king initiated. He immediately commanded for her to be slain on the spot, resulting in a huge loss of his army as she captured the soul of many knights, which was followed by her to attempt to flee the kingdom, and the king to track her down. After a conversation on this subject with his daughter, he ordered her to seek down Alani to slay her by her own hands, fully aware they had a friendship in the past, and hoping this would trick her into letting her guard down.

Physical appearance

King Dearg has a powerful build and stands at an astounding 6'05". He wears a vermillion shirt, cyan pants with a cyan cloak in front of his waist. He wears a red cape with white fluff. His skintone is black, his hair is dark brown, while he also has a large beard of the same color. His eyes are a furious red. He has a golden tiara with a red gemstone in it. He also has large vermillion-colored boots with long white socks.

Personality

Dearg was always an honorable man, kind and faithful, but the day Alani's powers were discovered, he lost track of himself, instead lusting for power and wanting to use her to get his way. This made him highly aggressive and dominant. 

Plotline

During most of the plotline, King Dearg is pulling the strings in the back, unleashing armies to seek and track down Alani. While this happens, his daughter Lilla questions his motives.
