Choosing to hide his past, Hugo simply looks forward to the next step. This makes him a mysterious man, as people wonder what his past looks like. Nobody even knows where he lives or anything, as he is always wandering about from village to village in search of a good customer. Although there's two things people know about him, he likes money and hates thieves. As thieves always attempted to rob him of his possessions, he has learned to fight back against the thieves to always come out on top, even grabbing something off of them to compensate for them wasting his time. This has made the community of thieves despise and fear him. He's even started to fend off thieves harming other citizens, as he knows the feeling of losing something.
Hugo stands at 5'10" with an average build. He wears a blue feathered cap with yellow accents. He has a purple scarf around his neck, a blue jacket with large sleeves, with a light blue undershirt and yellow pants. His blonde hair is somewhat long on his left side and shorter on his right. His eyes match his hair, and his skin is of a tan tone. He is often seen carrying a large brown bag with him, containing his weapons he carries around to sell.
Hugo is highly confident. It feels as though all he speaks; he's been practicing for days on end to get right. Then again, it probably comes naturally as a merchant. He knows what people want to hear and cuts to the chase, not messing around. However, he has no patience for thieves. This caused him to learn thief tactics of his own, so no matter what, if one attempts to steal from him, he will always come out with a net positive. This has caused most thieves to fear him, allowing him to more safely wander around to sell his prized possessions without fear of missing out of a nice profit.
While wandering into a village somewhere in the middle of the desert and spotting the main party, he shall introduce himself as request them to look at his items. But then upon noticing Mildred among the party members, he loses his cool a bit, acting a bit more flirtatious and charismatic, which is a bit of a contrast to his normal composure. In the end, he ends up gifting her the Forest's Staff as a gift, becoming Mildred's Ultimate Weapon. Afterwards, he tags along with the party, claiming it is to explore the lands alongside a reliable team, but deep down, he just wants a reason to spend more time with her, to hopefully learn who she is and help her find the place she wants to be at, leading to her happy ending.
