Backstory

Melvus, also known as the Masked Man until the end of the game, is the primary villain in FTGW. He was born in a royal family to become crowned as king someday down the line, though it seems sometime after he became king, he suddenly changed. His actions were unnatural to the man he used to be, and some were questioning what occurred, while others blindly followed along. But it was discovered his soul was consumed by an almighty being of manipulation, thus he lost ahold of himself.

After a few years, his kingdom has crumbled. The castle was left abandoned, but rumors claim the king still lives, somewhere within this vessel. His wife, Laureline, also went missing, and word spread she may have also died. Nobody knows the truth, and thus, the citizens still remaining in the castle to fend for themselves.

Physical appearance

As the Masked Man, he wears a tophat to darken his face, in order to keep his identity hidden from outsiders who do not know of who he is. His crimson scarf also helps cover his face. He wears a purple cape, and a long black robe with an "M" upon it. His eyes glow a furious red, and his build and height make him look very menacing.

As the true Fallen King, Melvus, he remains the same, but his face is revealed! He has very long brown hair, a beard to go with it and his eyes remain red. His golden crown upon his head holds a ruby inside, to show his vitality and passion to protect his kingdom.

Personality

While under control, his personality is completely unnatural and off, but Melvus as himself is a very sincere and gentle man. He seems like a fully different individual when in control of his actions. He is a truly kind and honorable king, with great respect for everyone who he stumbles upon. And as he respects others, others respect him in return. Though he is a very apologetic man, regretting letting himself get his body taken over by such a villainous beast and wreck his kingdom.

Plotline

As the Masked Man, upon seeing the group of college students enter the castle, he closes the gates behind them and binds it that way with a powerful lock only to be opened by a special, rare key. He then proceeds to kidnap all students and lock them each to one floor. When coming across Amy (who was the last one to be taken), he attempts to take her, too, but she resists. Therefore, he battles her and instantly defeats her upon striking, then taking her to the basement floor.
