Solar activity
Audio Guide:
The Sun’s atmosphere can be divided into three parts. The innermost part is the photosphere, where the sunlight is coming from. Above the photosphere is the chromosphere, of which its unique rosy color can only be observed with special equipment or during a total eclipse. The outermost part is the corona, which is a high-temperature, low-density region that can only be observed with special equipment or during a total eclipse as well.
