History of space exploration
Audio Guide:
Space has always fascinated humanity. The first time that a human being ever ventured into space was on April 12, 1961. Yuri Gagarin, an astronaut from the Soviet Union, went to space and orbited around Earth on Vostok 1 (East 1). Later, on July 20, 1969, the United States' Apollo 11 successfully landed on the moon, marking humanity’s first step onto another celestial body other than Earth. The two historical spaceflights are equally epoch-making.
Visitors can learn about humanity’s journey of exploring space through the video, text and images.
