Rockets
Rockets
Audio Guide:
Rockets are propelled through the rapid expulsion of gas. Unlike airplanes that can only fly within the atmosphere, rockets do not rely on air combustion, so they can fly in outer space where air does not exist. Rocket fuel can be divided into solid fuel and liquid fuel, which have respective strengths and weaknesses. Most rockets use a mixture of solid and liquid fuel to make the flight more efficient and lower the cost.
Visitors can learn about each parts of a rocket and their individual functions through the rocket model and the multi-media video.
