Star-Studded Sky

Audio Guide:

Humans have been thinking about the secrets of the universe from time immemorial. In both the east and the west, the old world and the new, the ancient Mayans, Egyptians, and Chinese left their footprints in the investigation of the heavens. Galileo, when he looked into his telescope over 400 years ago, saw a completely different expanse from what those ancient people had seen. After continual improvements in instruments and observational techniques, we now have a much broader, and deeper, understanding of the heavens surrounding us.
