Ann Murr
3 Cups Cooked Ground Lamb,
Turkey, or Beef Seasoned with
Seasoning Salt and Pepper and
Cooked along with a Fine Chopped
Onion. Drain off Fat.
1 Cup 8 Oz Thick Tomato Sauce
(Hunt’s best)
3 Cups of Well-Seasoned Hot
Mashed Potatoes
Home-Made is best but Instant
is Ok, too.
1 ½ Tablespoons Margarine-
cut in tiny pieces.
Combine Meat, Tomato, Onion,
Season Salt and Pepper in fry pan.
Drain off Grease if any – Rub a
6 Cup Pyrex with Margarine.
Put a ½ inch Layer of Mashed
Potato in – use Fingers to Pat it
up the Sides. Fill with Meat Mixture.
Top with remaining Mashed Potato,
scrape fork over top to make it look
rough. Dot with Margarine Pieces.
Bake in a Preheated Oven on 350
degrees F. for about 35 Minutes.
Serves 4 – Using Lamb is the Best
but Sometimes Very Hard to Get
and More Expensive.
