1 Lb Very Lean Ground Beef
2 Medium Size Onions, Sliced Thin
4 White Potatoes cut in Cubes
(Keep in Salted Water while cutting
to prevent turning brown)
3 Diced Carrots
1 Rib Diced Celery
1 Teaspoon Celery Seed
1 ¼ Teaspoon Pepper
2 Tablespoons flour
2 cups water
1 can biscuits or make Bis-Quick biscuits
Place Hamburger and Onions in Heavy Fry
Pan or Heavy Kettle (Big One) – Brown Lightly.
Add Drained Potato Cubes and Carrots and
Seasonings and Water. Simmer gently for 20
Minutes. Mix 2 Tablespoons Flour mixed with
3 or 4 Tablespoons Cold Water. (Soup and
Gravy Flour is Best, Pillsbury or Betty Crocker).
Add and Stir to Thicken Gravy until nice and
smooth. Pour all into a Deep Casserole Dish.
Top with Biscuits and Bake about 25 Minutes
at about 400 Degrees F. – Watch – Don’t burn
the bisquits!
