You are to pick 4 online tutorials that must be vetted by me. Choose tutorials that will expand your skill level.Â
One must include vector work in Illustrator,
One must include photorealism, and
One must include corporate graphic design (e.g. logo creation).
The 4th may be of a type of your choosing. If you are more focused on the Digital Imaging component of TG4M, then get tutorials that accentuate that line of inquiry (e.g. photography). If you are more focused on the digital editing aspects of TGJ4M, then search out more Photoshop-oriented tutorials.
Complete all the tutorials and submit a link to the original tutorial, the product you've created/made, and all source files necessary to complete the tutorial as if you were giving it to another student.

All tutorials will marked using the following criteria:
You are to take a portrait of an object or person. You are to extract this person and use them in a campaign piece. The campaign piece can be designed for corporate use (e.g. product placement) or used for pure art's sake. The portrait(s) you are to use must include proper lighting.
Remember to use full manual and snap between 5-10 pictures of the individual to ensure you get a good picture. A tripod is a must for this assignment! The product may be shot as well, or if not practical you can see if can use royalty-free artwork. Once captured, get a card reader from me and transfer the pictures to your computer.
Setup is 8"x10" 220 dpi photo that you could use as a portfolio entry piece (for that reason it's best if it is you).
Please be mindful we're using only stock work with clear free copyright!
I want a submission of your PSD and a 400kB JPG for this assignment please.
You are to plan and shoot for a poster or photo essay (which could be a single picture, or a series of pictures with a narrative) which addresses a need for change you encounter in normal life. Make it relevant, make it yours. If you are working on the poster campaign it is suggested you work at document size 24"x 36" at 300 ppi.
Alternatively - if you want to create graphic art and pitch another concept (like if you are age-of-majority and want to submit can artwork for Collective Arts and hope to get $200USD) then please feel free to do so. I'm just hoping you get something practical out of the assignment.
If you have another concept in mind please feel free to discuss it with me. You are NOT limited to the above two ideas.
Evaluation is as follows:
