Understand the 3 principles of lighting: Position, Strength, Colour and how to apply them to taking photos.
Understand how to get a shadow, a silhouette or a reflection using these principles.
Know how and why to pose a subject, how to achieve various portraits and the basics of 3 point lighting in studio photography
Photography as an artform
Understand the basic forms of art for photography: (abstract, documentary, fashion, nature, montage/collage, narrative, portrait, still life, surrealism, architecture, time-laps/light painting). Be able to describe each and roughly how to achieve a successful photo in the style.
