We're going to do 2 things in this section
1) move the camera (which is moved like any other object with grabbing it and translating (G) it along axis, or rotating it (R) and
2) Changing the camera settings.
The fastest way to set up our camera is to press 0 on the numberpad. Now select the edge of the "camera view" as seen in the picture at right.
Let's pull out the camera a fair bit. We're going to start our UFO off in the distance. The most effective way of moving the camera out (zooming out) is to simply press G for translate, then click your middle-mouse button and pull out. Notice at some point however, your ship starts to disappear.
Click on the camera tab on the right (the green video camera icon over by materials).
The problem is our clipping. We're asking the camera to clip our ship at 100m out. Let's change that to 1000m. Immediately that's fixed.
We're also going to choose the RED for our camera, because it's an amazing piece of technology.
Press F12 and render. Let's see what this looks like rendered (you can also get that by clicking on the render tab up top). Our ship is too bright right? We'll fix that in the next section.
