"In response to those who say to stop dreaming and face reality, I say keep dreaming and make reality." - Kristian Kan
Your final project is to perform in a simple, fluid scene or project. I would recommend tying together everything you've learned thusfar and include in elements from past projects. An example could include having your polydude jump after a balloon that is floating away from them. Or tie together some of your motion graphics with shot live video The project should have:
a script/storyboard
a minimum of 20 seconds at 30fps (600 frames) of rendered footage that includes camera movements and different shot types;
it will be rendered at default H.264 quality
if applicable bring the rendered product into Premiere and introduce a soundtrack for the product (it must be creative commons or created yourself)
add Foley work and speaking parts if applicable
try to include stills shot in-studio for your background
feel free to re-use previous content in your summative
Your final project is to 'film' one of the tutorials you found particularly good. You will use a screen recording product to record, unless you have a preference for some other screen capture software. You will audio record explanations as you go through the tutorial. If you are recording live components (e.g. taking pictures) - these must be inserted into the timeline in Premiere and rendered along with the product. The project must have:
a completed tutorial, from start to finish.
annotation and cursor zoom-ins at the appropriate spots
complete voice-overs
all starting materials (pictures etc...)
all assets (pictures) used in the graphic design tutorial MUST be shot by yourself in-studio
it will be rendered at default H.264 quality
Windows 10 has Xbox Game-Bar by default (Winkey+G) what you could use to record. If you want external software something like OBS or Bandicam is also solid.
You are to storyboard, produce and edit a short movie, that runs up to 6 minutes long, that incorporates all of the elements we've discussed in this unit. The topic is up to your group. Actors are expected, props, if necessary. Discussion with writers on script is recommended. All relevant pitch sheets, shots lists, storyboards and log sheets must be submitted along with the finished product. If you are working in a production team each member is expected to fill out a logsheet (see below)
If you are going off to a design/audio/video program next year and require a portfolio then you can use this time to assemble a portfolio for your interview. You will have to tailor your product for the requirements of your program so there is no set guidelines per se.
When you are done you must have:
a completed portfolio presented to me
evidence of your work in the form of a logsheet (see below)
if it's video, work out your storyboarding on traditional storyboard sheets, the same goes for audio or web/flash based portfolio work.
if it's a physical portfolio thumbnail your product and turn in the sketched sheets stapled together so we can discuss the process
all assets (pictures) used in a compressed file
Please submit a google doc reflection to google classroom that has the following:
what went well,
what went wrong,
what you would change and you can include that on a new document or incorporate it into the logsheet at left.
