The Experience Editor is used to structure the layout of a page and to make small amendments in real time

To open the Experience Editor you must be on the parent item of the page 

If you wish to view (but not edit) the finalised page before you publish this can be done through preview which appears under the publish tab

All content must be added in first through the Content Editor before it can be placed, moved around or edited in the Experience Editor
