To publish an item:
1. Click on the Publish tab to view the publishing tools ribbon
2. Click on the word Publish below the globe / document icon in publishing tools ribbon
3. Select Publish Item
4. Set Publishing setting to Smart Publish and leave Publish Subitems unchecked
5. Tick the Publish Subitems checkbox if you are publishing a page along with its modules
Ticking the publish related items option will publish the page and all other data sources in Sitecore that it links to e.g templates, tourism products, media library items etc. This publish causes a significant load on Sitecore and will queue publishing for other users so should be avoided unless necessary. It may be used as a last resort when publish troubleshooting.
6. Set Publish Language to the appropriate target for your market (English (Australia) for media library items)
7. Set Publishing Target to Staging (staging) and Internet (web)
8. Click Publish
9. Check your content is correct on staging (replace www. with staging2.)
10. Ask websitesupport@tourismireland.com to purge your changes
