The Graded Quiz scores the user on how many questions are answered correctly. Once complete the output will appear in the format:

“You got {x} out of {y} correct”

• Minimum 2 and maximum 10 questions

This quiz style does not require different result states based on the score range. It displays the score and a short message. For example, “You scored {x} out of {y}! That’s one well-versed audition! Take a bow!”

Option to use two question styles: image with 4 answers and question with 4 image answers. See graded category quiz 

To insert a new graded quiz:

In Sitecore navigate to the relevant folder, right-click on the folder and select graded quiz from the list of available templates. This will create a basic quiz page with the relevant dummy content for you to update and edit

To add, edit or remove quiz questions:

The graded category quiz will auto-populate with 3 sample questions, one image with four answers and two four small image answers

To add an additional question right-click on the quiz module and choose your preferred question type

To remove a question, mark it as unpublishable in the publishing tab and publish the quiz as normal 

To edit the question content: 

1. Change to your local market flag 

2. Edit the question title using the free text field - 150 characters maximum

3. The question number can be edited from the eyebrow field - 22 characters maximum 

4. To select an image for the question click browse and choose your uploaded image from the media library 

5. Click save

To add, edit or remove question answers:

You can only have a maximum of four answers per question and when a question is added in the content editor, it will auto-populate with four dummy answers for you to update and edit

To remove an answer mark it as unpublishable under the publishing tab and publish the quiz as normal 

To edit the answer content:

1. Change to your local market flag  

2. Edit the question answer in the answer text field - 40 characters maximum

3. Add a question result message using the message free text field - 150 characters maximum 

4. In the response value field add a value of 0 or 1 to denote whether the answer is correct or incorrect

0 marks an incorrect answer and 1 for a correct answer

The answer text field is only available for the one image four answers and four small image answers question styles.  To add answer text to the four large image answers this should be added to the image itself before it is loaded into the media library

To edit the result content:

Unlike graded category quizzes, graded quizzes will only display one result state no matter the user's scores. So only one result state needs to be configured in the content editor. Ensure that the result message is kept generic so that it will be relevant across all the scoring outcomes i.e. Success, you have truly put your Ireland knowledge to the test! 

1. Change to your local market flag

2. Edit the category result message using the free text title field

e.g. Success, you have truly put your Ireland knowledge to the test! 70 characters maximum 

3. Leave the eyebrow field populated with the following value for the result

You scored {0} out of {1}!

Sitecore will calculate the result automatically in the backend.
