The category quiz is used as a more playful component to engage users in Ireland.com’s content. By asking a series of questions that are related to the island of Ireland, editors are able to increase engagement and provide an opportunity to drive users to the next best action

For example, a Game of Thrones quiz could direct users to a destination page that is mentioned in the quiz question and result

• Minimum 2 and maximum 10 questions

• Option to use two question styles: image with 4 answers and question with 4 image answers (large and small)

To insert a new category quiz:

In Sitecore navigate to the relevant folder, right-click on the folder and select graded category quiz from the list of available templates. This will create a basic quiz page with the relevant dummy content for you to update and edit

To edit the question content follow the steps below: 

1. Change to your local market flag 

2. Edit the question title using the free text field - 150 characters maximum

3. The question number can be edited from the eyebrow field - 22 characters maximum 

4. To select an image for the question click browse and choose your uploaded image from the media library 

5. Click save

To add, edit or remove question answers:

You can only have a maximum of four answers per question and when a question is added in the content editor it will auto-populate with four dummy answers for you to update and edit. To remove an answer, mark it as unpublishable under the publishing tab and publish the quiz as normal 

To add, edit or remove quiz result:

When you insert the quiz template in the content editor it will auto-populate with 3 dummy results. To add an additional result, right-click on the category result module and select a new score category. To remove a score category mark the item as unpublishable in the content editor under the publishing tab and publish the quiz as normal

For category quizzes the score categories must be set up before the answer category for each question can be inputted

To edit the result content:

1. Change to your local market flag

2. Rename each of the score category item names to reflect the answer category e.g. Stark

(This value should exactly match the value inputted into the category name field, case sensitive -  see screenshots below) 

3. Edit the category name e.g. Stark using the free text field

(The category name does not display on the front end and therefore does not need to be translated for central quizzes)

4. Edit the category result message using the free text title field

e.g. Amazing! With that much knowledge you must be a true foodie! 70 characters maximum 

5. Leave the eyebrow field populated with the following value for every result

You scored {0} out of {1}!

This field is not required for category quizzes so you do not need to enter anything here. 

6. Save 

To edit the answer content:

1. Change to your local market flag  

2. Edit the question answer in the answer text field - 40 characters maximum

3. Add a question result message using the message free text field - 150 characters maximum 

4. In the category field select the correct category from the dropdown list for that answer

The response value field should not be filled in for category quizzes

5. Save and publish 

The answer text field is only available for the one image four answers and four small image answers question styles. To add answer text to the four large image answers this should be added to the image itself before it is loaded into the media library
