Redirects set up under: /sitecore/content/Ti/Global/Redirects
All items should be created and published under the English: English version
Redirects (using geo-location):
A redirect which uses geo-location means that the same vanity URL can be used across markets and will redirect to the local version of the item selected:
Right-click folder above and click Insert > Redirect URL
Requested URL – only add what follows Ireland.com on your desired vanity URL and include a trailing slash
Response status code – 302 (temporary) should be selected when testing or if the vanity URL will be used for a limited time. 301 (permanent) can be used for long term redirects once tested and working correctly.
Redirect to Item – select the Sitecore item you want the vanity URL to redirect to from the content tree.
Use Geo Location – select this checkbox to enable geo-location
Save & publish to English: English
e.g. Ireland.com/golf
Redirects (not using geo-location):
A redirect which doesn’t use geo-location can be used where the same vanity URL is not required across markets or it should go to one URL no matter where a user is located:
Right-click folder above and click Insert > Redirect URL
Requested URL – only add what follows Ireland.com on your desired vanity URL and include a trailing slash
Response status code – 302 (temporary) should be selected when testing or if the vanity URL will be used for a limited time. 301 (permanent) can be used for long term redirects once tested and working correctly.
Redirect to URL – add the full URL that you want the vanity URL to redirect to.
Use Geo Location – unselect this checkbox to disable geo-location
Save & publish to English: English
e.g. Ireland.com/wandern
