There are a range of fields which can be added to forms within the form designer:
Hidden - reference fields which can be added to the form which will not appear on the front end. Include MARS ID in this field if you have one as this will be required to build an audience segment in Zeta

Email - include a tooltip here so users understand why their email is being captured: "We will only use your email to contact you if you win a prize. If you also sign up to our newsletters, we will use your email to send you personalised content based on how you interact with this website and our advertisements on other websites."

There are also a range of fields settings which can be applied to fields within the form designer:
Label: This is the name of the field as it will appear on the form on the website
Field name: This is the name for the field as it appears in the Sitecore backend. The label added here should make explicitly clear what the purpose of the field is e.g., email opt-in so that the data can be deciphered correctly
HTML tag: This dropdown can be used to change the text format
Tooltip/tooltip hover text: Used to provide additional context and instruction when a user interacts with any of the form elements. Tooltips must be added to fields where personal data is being collect e.g. email address. Information on what tooltips are required for certain fields can be found in the GDPR guidance document
Field importance (optional/mandatory): The radio button can be ticked to make the field optional or mandatory for form submission.
Placeholder text: Sample text which will appear in the field and can be used to guide users how to use this section e.g., to demonstrate the required email format the placeholder text could read example@email.com
Minimum/maximum text length: Number pickers can be used to apply a maximum/minimum character limit on specific fields
