Romans 3:22-26
We Fall Short of the LORD
22 There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 8:26-30
The Holy Spirit Helps in Time of Need
26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. 29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. 30 And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
Man is sinful, flawed, is often tempted with temptations, and has material earthly desires...Followers of Jesus live in this world and have these issues, yet they know that there is Another World above where Jesus lives and where He talked about in the gospels...He is from above...Living in this earthly world and knowing that there is Another World above, that is perfect with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and those who follow Them is both perplexing and hard to understand in our sins...We do fall short of the Glory of God...Yet, we know we have an indwelt soul and Holy Spirit that intercedes for us in our weakness when we need Him...Sometimes we do not know what we need to pray or do, but the Spirit indwelt in us intercedes for us with ways and means that words cannot express...And we seek the Holy Spirit as we search our own heart knowing the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will...
These different contractions make more sense as we look how Jesus lived and then died on the cross for our sins...A Sinless Man died for each one of our sins, on a cross that agonizingly took His life, and not ours...God gave us Jesus as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of His blood—to be received by faith...God did this to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance He had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— He did it to demonstrate His righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus...And God did these things out of LOVE...And during the shedding of His blood, knowing that Jesus is Divine, He could have walked off the cross at anytime...The cross is both perplexing and hard to understand from many perspectives...
