Romans 3:21-26
Man Falls Short of God because of Our Sins
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Jesus always followed God and thus He always followed the Ten Commandments...In fact, in His Sermon on the Mount, He goes beyond the Ten Commandment teachings...He was righteous before God, His Father...
Jesus was not jealous of anyone, nor did He covet different things...He had a focus on forgiving and for the poor and those in need...He never envied any Roman Leader or anyone for that matter...He was a Humble Man...
Jesus reached out to those in need...And often we Christians do try to imitate Him and to do what He would do, we often fail...If we reached out more to those who need help...If we were more humble that would also help our lives...We are wicked and fall short of His Glory...But when we think about it if we could just not covet, not be envious, learn to forgive easily, and to help the needy, we would lead much better lives and be better followers of Jesus...But these things are quite simple to look at and read, but much more difficult to put in our lives, day in and day out as Jesus did...Kindness is quite an obvious trait, yet we seem to struggle with being kind each and everyday...
