Death Through Adam, Life Through Christ
12Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— 13for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. 14Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
15But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! 16Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
18Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. 19For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.
20The law was added so that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased, grace increased all the more, 21so that, just as sin reigned in death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Adam brought us sin through the fall of man and brings us death...Because we sin, we are bound to die...The wages of sin is death...Jesus saves us from sin and brings us life...Because we believe in Jesus, we can live and have eternal life...
Adam and Eve are our great-great parents...He corrupted himself with sin and every son he had has sinned, except One...God wants us to be perfect and holy and not sin...Adam has had a few Saints in his lineage, but they (the Saints) realize how much they sin in the eyes of God, and much more than others realize...The Saints have tried (some very hard) to be perfect and to be holy, but they realize that man is flawed...Adam is one of our great-great-grandfathers...He is our original grandpa...We have inherited this thing called sin from him...It has been passed down generation to generation...The flaw of sin remains today...We seem for some reason not able to get rid of it...
Some men have tried hard rid themselves of their sins to get closer to Him...But man has failed every time...But out of Bethlehem, came a Man who was able to be perfect, to be holy, obedient, and to heal anyone who believed in Him...This Man went around forgiving other men of their sins... Since He did not sin, how and why could he forgive men of their sins...Everyone wondered (or should have wondered, and questioned) why He would be forgiving a man of a sin he committed to someone else and not to Him...This question is answered when He dies on the cross and is resurrected, we then realize He is the answer to our sins...Jesus has died for each sin we have committed...He saves us from our sins...
Jesus did and does have the right to forgive anyone sinning against another...He is the Son of God...He is the One who died for each and everyone of us of the sins we have committed and will commit tomorrow... Sometimes the sins we do increase...God's grace increases all the more...Eternal life is not automatic...We must have faith and believe...If we believe in Him and the One who sent Him, we are not condemned but are saved (John 3:17-18)...We have eternal life if we believe in the Father and Son...
