Romans 1:18-32
Looking Around at Our World and Universe
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
The non-believer says that the universe is random and happened just by chance, and it has no purpose...But if the universe is random and happened only by change, why is there so much design, patterns, and symmetry in the world and in the universe?...Why does there seem to be an order to nature in the world?...Could there be a God of Nature, who created not only nature, but all things?...Why do the mathematicians and physicists find new equations each year that show orderly design?...
Paul say designs and patterns and organization in the world are around us...Some are visible, and some are invisible...The things that he saw, could not have just created themselves...The trees, the lilies, the grass, the mountains, the sky exist, and he believed that God created this beauty...Paul believed that the patterns and designs of nature and the universe could only come from an Intelligent Designer...The world around Paul and what he saw was not only written in Scripture, but what he saw around him and above him in the skies...And this came through his experiences in life...Paul saw purpose and design in the world and not randomness and chance...Paul’s view and eye on the world made him take notice and see that there is more to life than just words, but a Great Mysterious Wonder as he looked around at what God had created...
As we look around and study every single thing of only the earth, and its land, its living beings, the sea and it being full of creatures, the forests and it being full of wildlife, and all the workings and goings on of man and all living things -Paul saw a Designing God...
Paul believed that God showed Himself in all these works of not only the earth, but the entire universe...And he saw a world that should forever praise and give glory to the One who created all things...And God in His Wisdom has made the earth sustainable for life, and many species...Life remains today because of God's Creative Abilities...How do you personally explain this?...
