Romans 3:10-26
All Men Has Sinned Against God
10 As it is written:
“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
13 “Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
17 and the way of peace they do not know.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.
21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
Romans 5:1-11
Peace and Hope
1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
Romans 6:1-23
Dead to Sin, Alive in Jesus
1 What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer? 3 Or don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin— 7 because anyone who has died has been set free from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 For we know that since Christ was raised from the dead, he cannot die again; death no longer has mastery over him. 10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
11 In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. 12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. 13 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness. 14 For sin shall no longer be your master, because you are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.
19 I am using an example from everyday life because of your human limitations. Just as you used to offer yourselves as slaves to impurity and to ever-increasing wickedness, so now offer yourselves as slaves to righteousness leading to holiness. 20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:31-39
If God Is For Us, Who Can be Against Us
31 What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33 Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34 Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For your sake we face death all day long;
we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 10:5-13
Everyone Who Calls on the LORD Will Be Saved
5 Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”[a] 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
The path to Salvation is our road to Heaven...There is a path to Salvation through Jesus and to heaven and is explained by St. Paul in his epistle to the Romans in different verses...Some call it the Roman Road to Salvation...
Salvation Path starts, according to our Great Apostle Paul St. Paul tells us about our flaws and problems...In Romans 3:10-26 As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God...All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.”...“Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit.”...“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”...“Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”...“Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery mark their ways, and the way of peace they do not know.”...“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”...And we were reminded earlier by St. Paul that in Romans 3:23...“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”...We have all sinned and have flaws that cause us to error and we have been disobedience to God's Perfect morality and His Perfect and Natural Ways...And because of this Romans 6:23, teaches us about the consequences of our sinning and sinful nature: “For the wages of sin is death; but the Gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our LORD.”...Because the wages of our sins is death we stand condemned and our sins will be the cause of our death...So we will die in our sins an earthly physical death...
But St. Paul gives us the Good News of the Gospel in Romans 6:1-23: "When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness...What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of?...Those things result in death!...But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is Eternal Life...For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is Eternal Life through Jesus Christ our LORD."...St. Paul declares in Romans 5:1-11, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this Grace in which we now stand."..."But God demonstrates His Own LOVE toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."...Jesus Christ was crucified and sacrificed on the cross for our sins...He died for us...Jesus’ death on the cross pays our sin debt...And God has proven this by resurrecting His Son from His death and having Him live again after His First Death for forty more days on earth...Then He ascends to Heaven...
Our sin debt has been paid...St. Paul continues on the Romans Road to salvation in Romans 10:9, “That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as LORD, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”...Because Jesus tells us that Eternal Life is on His behalf and His Father’s...
Jesus says now this is Eternal Life that we believe in Jesus and the One True God who sent Him... So all we have to do is believe in Him and His Father, trusting His death on the cross as payment for our sins...St. Paul says it this way in Romans 10:8-13, “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is LORD,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved...For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved...As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.”...For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same LORD is LORD of all and richly blesses all who call on Him, for, “Everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved.”...Let us repeat “for everyone who calls on the Name of the LORD will be saved.”...Jesus' death pays our sin debt and rescues us from eternal death and He brings Eternal Live...Jesus said it like this in John 10:27-30..."My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me...I give them Eternal Life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of My hand...My Father, who has given them to Me, is Greater than all; no one can snatch them out of My Father’s hand...I and the Father are One.”...In John 3:16-18 we read: "For God so LOVED the world that He gave His One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have Eternal Life...For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him...Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the Name of God’s One and Only Son."...And John again in John 4:14 tells us again about Eternal Life with Jesus and His Father..."But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst...Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to Eternal Life."...
The final aspect of the Romans Road is St. Paul telling us this in Romans 5:1...A Powerful and Encouraging Word...“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ.”...Through Jesus Christ we can have a relationship of peace with God...In Romans 8 St. Paul writes, "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered....No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who LOVED us...Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."...Because of Jesus’ death we have been saved...He is our Savior and we will not be condemned...Again I write that St. Paul gives us this final advice on Salvation through Jesus Christ is everything, because if God is for us, who can be against us...In Romans 8:38-39: “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the LOVE of God that is in Christ Jesus our LORD.”...
We have Great Divine words from John in his gospel John 14:6-7, when Jesus teaches us His Importance, Heaven, and His Father...Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life...No one comes to the Father except through Me...If you really know Me, you will know My Father as well...From now on, you do know Him and have seen Him.”...
In these verses we have and see Salvation through Jesus Christ and His Father...
