Romans 1:18-23
God's Wrath Against Mankind
18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles.
John 8:31-32
The Truth Shall Set You Free
31To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 14:6
Jesus and Truth
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Matthew 24:35
Heaven and Earth Will Pass Away
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
God made the Laws of Nature...God created a very orderly and designed world...The world He created is logical, organized, and a structured one...The world is of Divine Design...God has created the entire universe and gave man a home on earth...And during His creation of the earth, He fine tuned the earth for man -so we could breath, eat, sleep, age, and have a place to live...
The universe has a set of Universal Laws...If one believes in a randomly created universe, where did these mathematical laws come from?...The Physical Laws of Nature are fixed and set in Mother Nature...For example, the sun will rise each day and the sun will set each day...These Laws of Nature repeat themselves over and over and science can measure and test them...These laws are logical and rational...Science can tell us what is in the air, they can measure the distance to the moon, and they can tell us that how the moon will affect our tides...These are examples of physical laws that are repeated and can be measured by scientists and the scientific community...These laws are logical, rational, and logical and to the scientist, and they are explainable (to other scientists)...Scientists also agree that the Law of Mathematics exists...When you multiply two times two, you get four...These Physical Laws of Nature and these Laws of Mathematics and things like the multiplication tables are universal...The sun heats the earth and is just at the right angle and distant from earth...Scientists can measure this...Scientists have and use mathematics to measure things...Mathematics is forever set, and forever a universal truth of the universe...Two times two will always be four...That is unchanging...These things are true, and they are the truth...God put these laws in place and they will go unchanged throughout mankind's history...Science can use these consistent laws to carry out their theories and observations...
The scientist likes to measure things...Man in his life and in his thinking is not are as logical or rational as Mother Nature or God...Yet, man is the one doing the measuring of these Physical Laws of Nature...C. S. Lewis describes the Natural Law and Laws of Man...He explained it something like this: when one leaves his seat (let's say in a theater), and you come back for it, and it is now taken...That was and is your seat...Everyone in the theater would agree with you, and that would be considered your seat...The person taking your seat is in the wrong...Another example, Lewis gives is when a country says it does not believe in treaties...But when another country breaks a treaty with them, then in that case treaties are just and fair...And if treaties do not matter to nations, then right and wrong do not matter to its citizens...But each person of that country wants him or herself to be treated fairly...Lewis sums it up by writing,“It seems, then, we are forced to believe in a real Right and Wrong...People may be sometimes mistaken about them, just as people sometimes get their sums wrong, but they are not a matter of mere taste and opinion any more than the multiplication table.”...
So the Laws of Right and Wrong are universal, just like the Laws of Mathematics and the Physical Laws of Nature are universal...I think most people, from any nation, would think these Laws described above are universal and worldwide...They would also think these Laws are unchanging...These laws are true, these laws are the truth...
God keeps the Physical Laws of Nature going and running fine, but it is a little different with man's laws...Although the Laws of Man are universal, man cannot seem to follow them...Man sins and is irrational and sometimes not logical...We know what these rights and wrongs are, but people regularly around the world take someone's seat, and treaties are broken at times, if not regularly...And one universal Law of Man worth mentioning...We know it is wrong to abuse a child, but we read about child abuse regularly...Man around the world would believe that great abuses against children are wrong and that is a universal truth...
Man since the ancient days have believed in God...The non-believer and atheist mostly believes in science and the scientist...The non-believer says that God cannot be proven...The atheist believes that time and evolution has created everything in this world and the universe...These universal laws written about and how the earth became finely tuned for humans were created by this random passage of time over billions and billions of years...So to them it would make sense that the universe and earth continue to evolve through this forever evolution...And some day the sun will pass away and the earth will pass way...But a True Believer said that years ago...
Two thousand years ago, a Man stood up and said He is Truth...And if we held to His moral teachings of Right and Wrong then these truths would set us free...When Jesus was asked by the High Priest if He was the Messiah, the Son of the Blessed One, He answered I AM...Jesus, then, for believers is Divine, but also human...He is Perfectly Human...He is the Perfect Example of what it is to be human...He is the Mind of God...He is God in the Human Form...He obeys the Physical Laws of Man, because He created those laws also...Those laws include being an Absolutely Moral Man, which He was and is...He shows us that Nature means more than the sun is a certain distance from the earth...He shows us that there is so much more than two times two equals four...He shows us that an eternity awaits us...Jesus shows those us what can be achieved if one is able to conform to His Teachings Perfectly...He shows what it could and/or can be like for Humans who perfectly follow God and His will...
