Google Apps
You can access the following apps and more through your Google account if you already have a Gmail.
Click on the dots on the upper right of your Gmail account.
To create a Google account, follow the information at the bottom of this page under Create a Google Account.
Google Calendar
This has the apps Tasks and Keep lists.

Google Tasks
This allows you to make several to-do lists (ex., Home, School, Work).

Create a task directly from an email in Gmail
Organize your tasks by date or prioritize using drag-and-drop

Google Keep
This allows you to make several groups of lists (ex., Home, School, Kids).

Google Drive
This is an online "cloud-based" storage service that enables you to store and access files online.
You can share your files with others.
You access your Google apps (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Slides) through the drive.
To the left is a picture of what a Google drive looks like.
You can create folders to organize your contents (Docs, Sheets, pictures, etc.).
To access other Google apps through the drive, click on "New" and choose your app from the drop-down menu.

Google Docs is a word processing program like Microsoft Word.
Google Sheets is a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.
Google Slides is a presentation program like Microsoft PowerPoint.
Google and Microsoft
You can upload a Microsoft Word document and save it as a Google Doc. You also can download your Doc onto your computer and open it using Microsoft Word.
You can do the same with Google Sheets with Microsoft Excel and Google Slide with Microsoft PowerPoint.
In relation to the different products, some features might not be the same because they were created for different users - personal (Google) and professional (Microsoft).
For example, you may not have access to the same fonts, layouts, and advanced formatting design options.
Meet
If you need to take time to connect with someone online, Google Meet can be used to meet with individuals or a group.

Create a Google Account
A Google Account gives you access to many Google products. With a Google Account, you can do things like:
Send and receive emails using Gmail
Find your new favorite video on YouTube
Download apps from Google Play
Step 1: Choose a Google Account type

Important:
Business: When you create a Google Account for your business, you can turn business personalization on. A business account also makes it easier to set up Google Business Profile, which helps improve your business visibility and manage your online information.
Myself: When you create a Google Account, we ask for some personal info. By providing accurate info, you can help keep your account secure and make our services more useful.
STEPS
To create the account, click the following: Google Account sign-in page .
Click Create account.
Enter your name.
In the "Username" field, enter a username.
Enter and confirm your password.
Tip: When you enter your password on mobile, the first letter isn't case sensitive.
Click Next.
Optional: Add and verify a phone number for your account.
Click Next.
No Gmail account? No problem.
Tip: You don't need a Gmail account to create a Google Account. You can use your non-Gmail email address to create one instead.
Use an existing email address
Go to the Google Account Sign In page.
Click Create account.
Enter your name.
Click Use my current email address instead.
Enter your current email address.
Click Next.
Verify your email address with the code sent to your existing email.
Click Verify.
Step 2: Protect your account with recovery info
If you forget your password or someone is using your account without your permission, updated recovery info makes it much more likely you’ll get your account back.
