Create Your Week Planner
Below are suggestions about completing your Week Planner.
Include personal times (ex., weekly Friday dinners with friends, church services).
If you have kids or other weekly responsibilities, list those. (ex., picking up son from daycare, kids soccer practice, grocery shopping, home tasks).
Include travel time to and from school, job, etc.
Put time at the beginning of each week to create your weekly to-do list (ex., Sunday 10:00 am - 15 minutes).
Put time each morning to look at your weekly or daily to-do list (ex., Monday through Saturday 8:00 am - 5 minutes).
The column on the left (Alert) is where you indicate what times you are most awake and alert. These will be times that you schedule studying and other things that need a lot of attention.
Some people use highlighters in different colors to make the entries easier to determine (ex., green for household things, yellow for school classes and studying). Areas in black are times when you are asleep.
See examples below.
When you are done, all white areas are free time for you!
When you finish something early or don't need to do it, that is free time also.
