Student-Directed Learning

Be an active learner.

Don't sit back, a passive recipient, and expect to be taught by the instructor.

Sit up and actively teach yourself!

While WHAT material you must learn to get passing grades is decided by your instructor, HOW you learn the material is in your control.

Being an active learner gives you power, accountability, and ownership of your education.

Active Learning Strategies

This is an infographic listing active learning strategies, such as creating a small study group that regularly meets to review the week's topics, writing a 1-minute paper summarizing what was discussed in class, and creating a blogspot using Google's website app to post questions for classmates to reply to.

This website will give you important information, tips, and strategies that can be used to deal with problems you encounter in your schooling.
