Downtime Activities
Every pirate needs some R&R or something to take up their time during their ocean travels. That’s where downtime comes in. There are a number of activities that can be done in a character’s DT to help themselves and their crew get ready for the next adventure.
Each day every character receives 1 DT which can be used for DT activities.
Each day each character slot can take part in 3 DT activities.
The cut off for daily DT activity for your characters is 12 midnight (with a variable of 15 minutes only, ie latest it can be at 12:15)
Assisting your a friend in DTA. If you meet the requirements for the DTA you may use your DT to help with your allies crafts and activities.
You may gain the benefits of an attuned Haki item, race or class feature during DTA.
Train
You can use any amount DT to spend up to an equal amount of DT towards the progression of a downtime Proficiency, Technique, or Feat. For every 1 DT spent you must also pay 10,000 berri. See the DT costs for each training goal below.

Downtime Feats
As listed above DT feats cost 25 DT, and 250,000 Berri. Due to the power of feats there is also a cap on how many DT Feats a character can learn. This is equal to 3 + 1 (if you have not consumed a DF) + x when you reach cap of your current rank (Blue Sea 1, Paradise 2, Ocean Floor/Vearth 3, New World 4, Laugh Tale 5).
Re-Train
As you progress through your Eternal Expedition and the lifespan of the Westmarch, you might consider experimenting with various classes, feats, and different character builds. For a cost of 2 Downtime (DT) per level, you can retrain your character two times each rank of play. (Blues, Paradise, Ocean Floor, New World, Laugh Tale.) If you don't use your two retrains by the time your PC slot reaches the next rank of play, the retrain limit resets for that character back to 2. "If you don't use it, you lose it." It's important to note that this retraining option extends to your character's race only if you haven't participated in a mission with them. After your first mission, your race selection becomes locked in and cannot be changed. It costs an additional 2 DT per downtime feature you retrain.
