The simple act of the crow shaking off the dust of snow changes the pessimistic/depressive moods of the poet.

Answer:The poet was in an awful mood when he took shelter under the tree. The falling of the snow on his head instantly refreshed him and he wanted to enjoy the rest of the day.

Answer:Birds like Nightingales, peacocks, or cuckoos are more often used in the poem because of their beauty and good voice unlike these birds, the crow is considered ugly with a harsh voice. They are also used for indicating fear and negative vibes. Trees are seen as mighty creatures imparting a positive and healthy environment. They absorb negative energy. The poet does not mention trees like maple, pine, oak, etc... But writes about the poisonous tree the hemlock tree, perhaps, Frost has chosen the crow & the hemlock toe to represent his mood & feelings initially but both have together made his day better. So, the poem is an irony.
