Why was the young seagull afraid to fly?
Answer:It is natural for all to do something challenging and fearful for the first time. The young seagull, because it was his first flight and he was scared thinking that his wings would never support him. He, therefore, was hesitant to take his first step.
What compelled the young seagull to fly finally?
Answer:The young seagull was very hungry. His hunger intensified when his mother had torn a fish at her feet and came towards him. He screamed with joy and anticipation. However, she halted close to him, he was unable to resist, he dived at the food. This plunge was followed by a fly spreading his wings.
Why did the seagull's parents threaten him to fly?
Answer:The young seagull's parents had tried to make him fly but the seagull was reluctant to fly due to his fear of falling down, he watched his siblings diving to catch their prey but wouldn't make anything. So, the whole family left him alone as it is their last resort.

Answer:Flying is a natural act for any bird. Just like a human baby, he is afraid to take his first step. But, once he was able to do so, he completely forgot that he had not been able to do it before, he shrieked amusingly, turning his beak sideways & skimming the water body with satisfaction.

Answer:The risk here refers to the challenge of flying through the storm & black clouds. The narrator was willing to take the risk as the aircraft had just enough fuel to reach England. The narrator also wanted to reach home in time for a great English Breakfast.
Describe the narrator's experience as he flew the aircraft into the storm.
Answer:As the pilot entered the storm, seeing anything outside the aircraft was impossible. The old aeroplane twisted & jumped in the storm. The narrator couldn't believe himself, as the compass was turning round and round & the radio was dead. He was totally lost in the storm. It was a terrifying & fearful experience for the pilot.
What incident took place after the safe landing?
Answer:The narrator immediately walked to the control centre and asked a woman about the Black Aeroplane, guiding him to safety in the storm. The woman stared at him strangely and stated that she could not spot any other plane on the night except his. Perhaps, the narrator imagined a plane with the pilot escorting him.
