There are two kinds of conflict in the story: between humans and nature and between humans themselves. How are these illustrated?
Answer:The story 'A Letter to God' depicts two kinds of conflict. One between humans and nature and the other among men themselves.
In the beginning, the farmer hopes for rain for the benefit of his corn fields. He becomes overjoyed when it starts raining and starts thinking about all the benefits he would get after the harvest. Not much later, his joy turns to sorrow when the wind becomes strong leading to a hailstorm. Here, there is a disagreement between man and nature. All men want nature to act according to their aspirations.
The second conflict arises when Lencho starts doubting the honesty of the post office employees.
He, unaware of the act of charity by the postmaster and his employees called them a bunch of crooks. This is the conflict among the men themselves where one is not ready to trust the other.
