Answer:Chubkov thought Lomov had come to borrow money as he was in his evening dress. He was insincere when he told Lomov that he had always loved him and was like his own son. It was only when Lomov asked his daughter Natalya's hand in marriage that his attitude changed.

Answer:It was clear that Natalya was not interested in marrying Lomov. She wasn't much interested in seeing him dressed up while she was dressed plainly.

Answer:Lomov comes to Chubukov's house to propose to his daughter. The old man is very happy for selfish reasons as he could expand his property but when Natalya arrives, they both start arguing for petty reasons. Finally, both agree to get married without any love or affection between them.

Describe the argument Natalya and Lomov had regarding the Oxen Meadows.
Answer:According to Lomov, his aunt's grandma gave the Meadows for the temporary and free use of her ancestors who were peasants, but Natalya begged to differ. The argument kept going back and forth.
