"Griffin was rather a lawless person". Comment on this statement.
Answer:
Although Griffin was a brilliant scientist, he was rather a lawless person. He was not bothered about how his actions could harm others. He deliberately set fire to his landlord's house just to take revenge. Then, he used his discovery to escape from the law. He also robbed the stores and the people in the village for his own needs. He throws a chair at Mrs Hall to frighten them. Finally, when he was arrested by Mr Jaffers, he injured him and the people at the bar and escaped. All these events show Griffin as a lawless person avoiding justice and caring only about himself.
