Familiar Grand Prix takes the familiar battle system of Familiar Arena and expands it into a multi-stage tournament. Each season of Grand Prix takes place over several weeks with several different rounds that have differing levels of participation. Taking part in Grand Prix will provide numerous familiar-based rewards like evolution fruits, toy kits, and tree of unity shards.
Familiar Grand Prix requires you build up 3 separate teams of familiars. Familiars may only be used once between your teams, so you'll need to think of how to arrange 15 familiars to take best advantage of everyone's skills. Likein Familiar Arena, you can set Tree of Unity skills on each team (up to 3, depending on your Tree's level), but like familiars, you can use each skill only once between your teams.
Switch between Team 1, Team 2, and Team 3 to set the familiars and skills on each. Once a familiar or skill is set, it cannot be used on another team unless it is removed from the current one.
You can change the order of your three teams by moving them up or down.
There are 3 rounds of Grand Prix: league, group tournament, and finals.
Everyone can participate in the league round. You will receive 5 entry tickets at daily server reset. You can hold a maximum of 5 tickets so there is no reason to hold on to them. You can buy additional tickets with diamonds.
When you start a match, you will be automatically matched against an opponent. The first 5 matches are unranked, and establish your score. Subsequent matches will pair you with someone near your score.
You will have up to 3 fights with your opponent; as this is a best-of-3, if either you or your opponent win both the first and second fight, the third fight will not be played.
You will gain or loose points and ranking based on the outcome of match. Regardless of the results, you will earn familiar element tokens, depending on which elements each familiar on your teams are.
Once league has concluded, the top 256 players from all servers are placed in a single-elimination group tournament. This is a set of 16 brackets of 16 players each. One match is run per day until a winner is reached in each bracket, who will move on to the finals. Regardless of how far they progress, all players who make the group tournament will get a title.
All players have the opportunity to predict the outcome of one of the day's matches. You will be given a random match, although usually one of the players will be from your server (unless all the players from your server have already been eliminated.) You can view the teams each player has set up. Guessing correctly will grant some familiar enhancing materials, guessing incorrectly will grant a smaller number of materials.
Finals are a single 16-player bracket of single-elimination battles. Otherwise it follows the same process as the Group Tournament, with one match per day and prediction on a random match. Titles are granted to all finalist and a special title for the Grand Prix winner.
A token exchange shop is available for all the tokens you earned during the league round, which has a variety of familiar enhancing items.
Some items have limited exchanges, such as the evolution fruits and tree of unity shards, while others do not, like normal gummies.
The shop resets at the start of each season, so make sure you grab all the items you want before then!
