World bosses are powerful foes that spawn in dedicated boss dungeons. A group of up to 50 players can enter the dungeon at a time and challenge the boss. Multiple rooms are generated as long as there are enough players in the queue.
World Bosses can be accessed in the main menu under Challenges > World Bosses.
World bosses drop equipment-boosting items and unique sealed accessories (and purified souls which can be used to craft additional copies in Evermore). You must roll the actual accessory from the sealed version; each sealed accessory has a 90% chance to roll a 3* boss accessory, a 9% chance to roll a 4* boss accessory, and a 1% chance to roll a rare 4* boss accessory.
Mid-level versions can drop unique joker gems, and the highest level version has a very low chance to drop skill books for all classes. This makes them an enticing target for all players, especially those who can successfully challenge the highest level.
World bosses spawn 3 times a day. Check the World Boss menu screen for information on the next time they will spawn. They will be available for 45 minutes after they spawn, but generally, the queue will dry up 20-30 minutes after the initial spawn. If you want to get into the fight, you should try to enter at the start of the period to guarantee a room.
You will earn one World Boss ticket every day, up to 7 per week. Each entry into a World Boss Dungeon costs 1 ticket. You can hold up to a total of 7 tickets at a time.
You can create a party of up to 5 players before entering, or you can enter solo. Either way, once you hit matching, the system will queue you up. Once enough people have queued up, it will give a 5 second warning, then send all the queued players into the dungeon. Generally, the system will wait until the queue is almost full (40ish players) before generating a room.
A party has the option to enter a dungeon without joining the general queue, meaning only those party members will be in that dungeon instance. This is an excellent way to earn high honors (since you're guaranteed a top 5 reward) and improve your chances for rare drops.
Ardor is a fire boss, whose dungeon resembles the Fire Temple from the early story. There are 3 levels:
Level 1: Recommended combat power 210,000; minimum level 38
Level 2: Recommended combat power 526,000; minimum level 59
Level 3: Recommended combat power: 949,000; minimum level 79
You will enter the dungeon on a platform below the main area. Climb the stairs to get to the fighting zone. Ardor has limited movement and generally stays in the center of the fighting zone.
Ardor has several attacks to be wary of:
Radiating spokes attack: Ardor will attack in 8 columns of damage outside from itself. This attack has 2 waves; the second wave covers slightly more area and has powerful knockback. You should move to a safe zone when this attack is telegraphed.
Column attack: Ardor will attack in a narrow column in front of itself. This attack has 3 waves, each wave increases the width of the column. The third wave has powerful knockback. You should move to a safe zone when this attack is telegraphed.
Summoning small copies: Sometimes Ardor will summon small copies of itself. These copies can move freely and will often follow players around and attack them in groups. Your character will likely auto-target these copies if they are nearby, so you may want to manually target if they are on the field. After some time, the copies will explode and do small AOE damage.
Summon meteors: More likely in low health; Ardor will summon several waves of meteors onto the field. Each strike has knockback, and the targets are random areas of the field. If you are unable to avoid the first wave you will likely be knocked into the second or third waves of this attack.
Actaeon is a wood boss, with 3 levels of difficulty.
Level 1: Recommended combat power 1,300,000; minimum level 90
Level 2: Recommended combat power 1,600,000; minimum level 115
Level 3: Recommended combat power: 2,166,000; minimum level 145
You will enter the dungeon in a grove, a short walk away from the main battle area. Actaeon is quite mobile and will move around the battle area a lot.
Actaeon has several telegraphed attacks to be wary of:
Rush attack: Actaeon will move in a straight line down the battle area, mowing down anything in its path
Back attack: Actaeon will flap its wings strongly and move backwards slowly
Side wings attack: Actaeon will flap its wings strongly and attack anyone to the left or right of it
Radiating spokes attack: Actaeon will attack in a broad radiating cross shape around it, causing the ground to rumble in the 4 attack zones
Random earth attack: Actaeon will cause the ground to rise up in a random series of small AOE circles. This has several waves, and getting hit by an early way is likely to knock you into the attack zone of a successive wave
Gathering spirit crystals: After the boss goes into low health mode, it will summon multiple aoe circles of damage. In them, orange/golden spirit crystals will appear. Help collect them to prevent Actaeon from doing a powerful aoe attack. Collecting them will also boost your movement speed temporarily.
