Battle Style was introduced in the 2.0 patch of Cross Worlds that came with the 1st anniversary. It provides a secondary weapon and battle style for each class, providing new options on how to play each class without discarding your previous progression made towards that class. Currently, every class has 2 battle styles, its primary style that you get when you first create the class, and a secondary style accessible once you unlock Battle Styles.
To unlock Battle Styles, you must be at least level 80 and cleared main story in Atrasia Ruins. This will unlock the Guardian in Danger side story, where you must gain the help of the various world keepers in order to progress. Once you complete this side story, Battle Style will be unlocked.
This side story only needs to be cleared once per account, so once you have unlocked Battle Styles you can apply it to any class you have gotten to level 80 or above. However, the side story provides skill book rewards at multiple points, and are based on the class you are currently using in the side story. Because of this, you should clear the side story with your primary class, as these books will give you a quick boost to using the secondary style.
Battle style can be changed in the Character > Battle Style menu. You can swap battle style at any time as long as you aren't currently fighting anything; there is a 10 second cooldown after changing before you can change again.
You can set up to 10 decks for each battle style. On the field, you can use the deck switcher to quickly swap between builds and battle styles, although you cannot change battle style if you are currently engaged in a fight.
For instanced dungeons, you can set a deck from either battle style as the default deck to use when entering the dungeon.
The secondary battle style for each class is:
Swordsman: Dual Sword
Witch: Swordwhip
Destroyer: Gauntlet
Engineer: Gatling Gun
Rogue: Crossbow
The secondary styles are all offensive-focused classes, allowing all classes to focus on damage/dps if they want to, usually at the cost of their support abilities.
Although each battle style has a different weapon and stance, you do not need to acquire new weapons to use secondary battle styles. Your current weapons can be used in both battle style builds with the same stats and skills applied. The only difference between battle style weapons is the stance and look.
Each class has a series of skills, both active and passive, that can be applied to either or both battle styles. Skills that can be used by both battle styles may still have subtle differences between battle styles; for example, Engineer's passive skill "Barrier Master" increases resistance to CC effects while a barrier is active in Rifle builds, but creates a barrier if hit by CC effects when in Gatling Gun builds.
All-class active and passive skills can be used in any battle style, and their effects do not differ by battle style.
You can equip all-style and all-class skills into your secondary battle style builds, allowing you to keep your current progression on them. However, you will definitely want to acquire and level up skills specific to that battle style, as these skills have the most synergy with it.
This is an example of an Engineer passive skill that can be used on both Rifle and Gatling Gun battle styles. However, some of its effects differ between battle style. When you slot it and look at its effects, it will explain its effects for the current battle style.
This is an example of an Engineer active skill that can only be used on Rifle battle style. It cannot be slotted into any Gatling Gun decks.
Holy Relics are a secondary passive boost system that is tied to Battle System. By collecting and leveling up holy relics, you can increase a variety of stats. There are several pages for Holy Relics, with some unlocking as your level increases.

Relics TBD
Relics are leveled up by feeding it multiple copies of itself. Each level requires an increasing number of copies of the relic in order to boost the chance for success to 100%. The scale is +1 per level (i.e. to upgrade to level 3, you need 3 copies for 100% success.)
The max level a relic can be at is 10.
Each page of relics also has a resonance meter. Spend relic fragments in order to level it up, 400 fragments (and some gold) per level. Each time you spend fragments you will increase the resonance level, although the amount is random and you will usually earn fewer levels the higher the resonance level is already at. The resonance level can be increased up to 10 times.
If you are not happy with the resonance level, you can spend more relic fragments reset the resonance; you can refill the meter 10 times and attempt to get a higher resonance level.
